History Silvatec Design Limited, a privately owned company, was incorporated in 2002 in response to the demand for specialist timber engineering solutions for the growing timber frame market. Indeed the growth and utilisation of Timber Frame in the UK has been significantly influenced by changes in thermal regulations, site costs, shortage of skilled site labour and the speed of construction offered by this method of building. Timber frame, originally used for small single or two storey house, is now being utilised in hotels, offices, sports halls in structures up to seven storeys high. |
